High-grade copper for March delivery HGH5, +2.91% rose 6 cents to settle at $2.62 a pound, after coming under heavy selling pressure earlier in the week.March palladium PAH5, -1.23% slid $12 to $754.30 an ounce, while April platinum PLJ5, +0.00% ended up $6.60 at $1,269.40 an ounce.
