U.S. crude-oil futures spiraled further down in electronic trade late Sunday, with the most-active January 2015 contract CLF5, -2.72% breaking below the $65-a-barrel handle to hit $64.48 during East Asian market hours.
Nymex crude’s London-traded rival benchmark, Brent crude LCOF5, -3.58% lost 2.7% to $68.24 a barrel in electronic trade, extending its 3.4% retreat Friday.
