Nymex gasoline for January RBF5, -0.47% fell a little over a penny, or 0.7%, to settle at $1.7948 a gallon. That was a fresh five-year low for gasoline futures. Read: Retail gasoline about to become even cheaper.January heating oil HOF5, -0.40% was off nearly 2 cents, or 0.7%, to finish at $2.1117 a gallon on Nymex. That was heating oil’s lowest settlement since September 2010.
January natural gas NGF15, +0.52% fell 16 cents, or 4.1%, to end at $3.6490 per million British thermal units, extending losses to a sixth consecutive session.
